The Consortium undertakes projects on behalf of its clients and otherwise in the interest of a deserving causes related to Belize’s welfare. it also arranges for services by consultants in close collaboration with it.
The primary focus of the Consortium for Belizean Development, Inc.:
Technology Assistance:
The Consortium will arrange for technical assistance in various fields and development, including:
- Business and Commerce
- Education and Training
- Development Projects
- Technical and Professional Services
The technical assistance will consist of furnishing of systems and materials as well as personnel.
Charitable Procurement:
The Consortium assists its members and voluntary entities in Belize, including members of the Council For Voluntary Social Services in furnishing material assistance ranging from medical, athletic, and transportation equipment to clothing.
Financial Assistance:
The Consortium seeks to raise funds by direct contributions from its organizational as well as from members of the Belizean community. It encourages its members to seek matching funds in support of its programs and for direct financial assistance in connection with Belize’s welfare and development.
Promotional Informational:
The Consortium provides services and support for the promotion of Belizean industry, tourism, and culture. This service and support takes place by means of:
- Media appearances
- Artistic and cultural performance
- Organizing meetings and conferences
- Participating in trade fairs and conferences
As an important aspect of promoting and developing Belize, the Consortium strives to provide the media and public with factual and positive information about Belize.
